The Village is a free community for parents and caregivers of queer children (even if they’re grown), as well as parents and caregivers who identify as queer. It’s a place to build community, connect with others who understand, share support, and talk through the challenges of parenting in today’s national and state climates in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.

In addition to a parent group, the Reno County Village also has a teen group! A fun, affirming space for LGBTQ+ teens to hang out, connect with other youth, and explore topics that matter to them. Come make friends, have fun, and be yourself! These two groups meet at the same time and place, but are separate.

When: July 20-24, daily from 10AM-3PM
Where: A location in central Wichita (will be shared with registered families!)
Who: Queer youth and allies entering 7th-12th grades next school year
Cost: $100 (scholarships available!)
Details: Note that this is a Day Camp based in Wichita, KS, so campers will need to arrive each morning at 10AM, and be picked up each afternoon at 3PM. This will be a week full of D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) themed fun! Campers will work together to go on grand quests, defeat mobs of baddies, and more! In addition to daily campaigns, campers will also have a chance to do D&D-related projects (like designing character minis and more!) This is a great chance to connect and build community with other queer youth, and it's open to campers who are attending our overnight camp, and those who are not!
No experience with D&D is required! All skill levels are welcome and will be able to participate fully.
Lunch will be provided daily.
Who: LGBTQ+ Youth entering 7th-12th grades, and 18-21 year olds interested in the Counselor-in-Training Program
Where: Private location near Wichita, KS
Cost: Sliding scale fees ($0-$750)
