Spaghetti Night Fundraiser

April 25, 2026

Join us for a delicious spaghetti dinner, silent auction, and a night of connection and community — all in support of Camp Sunflower’s joyful, empowering programs for LGBTQ+ youth across Kansas.

Hosted by Camp Sunflower with the support of amazing local partners, this annual fundraiser helps ensure youth and families across our state have access to camp, year-round programs, and leadership opportunities.

Where: Calvary United Methodist Church (2525 N Rock Rd, Wichita, KS 67226)

Cost: $15 per Adult / $7 per Youth (4-10 years old) / FREE for 3 and under / Campers eat free!

When: Saturday, April 25th, 2026 from 4:30-7:30PM

Rainbow Graduation Reception

May 8, 2026

Who: LGBTQIA+ folks who are graduating and their guests. Each graduate can invite up to 4 guests (5 including the graduate).

Where: Harvester Arts (120 E 1st St N Suite 115, Wichita, KS 67202)

Cost: FREE!

What:

Camp Sunflower and Glisten Kansas (formerly GLSEN Kansas) are excited to host Rainbow Graduation, a special dinner and reception honoring LGBTQIA+ youth who are graduating this year and the people who supported them along the way.

This joyful evening will include a catered dinner, inspiring speakers, and a formal recognition ceremony where each graduate will be acknowledged and receive a rainbow honor cord or tassel to wear at their graduation. Afterward, we’ll celebrate together with a reception.

If a graduate cannot attend in person, they may still register to receive a free rainbow honor cord or tassel by mail to wear at their graduation ceremony.

When: Friday, May 8, 2026 from 6-8PM

Camp Sunflower Village

Regular virtual and in-person events for parents and caregivers

The Village is a free community for parents and caregivers of queer children (even if they’re grown), as well as parents and caregivers who identify as queer. It’s a place to build community, connect with others who understand, share support, and talk through the challenges of parenting in today’s national and state climates in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.

VIRTUAL VILLAGE

Reno County Village

Who:
Group 1: Parents and caregivers
Group 2: LGBTQ+ youth ages 12–18

What:
In addition to a parent group, the Reno County Village also has a teen group! A fun, affirming space for LGBTQ+ teens to hang out, connect with other youth, and explore topics that matter to them. Come make friends, have fun, and be yourself! These two groups meet at the same time and place, but are separate.

When: Every first Sunday from 2-4PM

Where: Metropolitan Coffee (1329 E 17th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67501)

RENO COUNTY VILLAGE

Support for The Village: Reno County was provided by a grant from the Community Health Improvement Funding Partnership, supported by Hutchinson Regional Medical Foundation, United Way of Reno County, and the Kansas Health Foundation Public Health Endowment Fund of Hutchinson Community Foundation.

Wichita Village

What: Join us for a welcoming space to connect with other caregivers, share experiences, and navigate the ever-changing landscape of parenting queer youth. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, exchange support, and build community.

When: Every third Sunday from 1-3PM

Where: Reverie Coffee Roasters Event Space (2206 E Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67214)

WICHITA VILLAGE

Bingo Fundraiser for Camp Sunflower

May 29, 2026

When: Friday, May 29th from 7-10PM

Where: Rhonda's Place (3210 E Osie St, Wichita, KS 67218)

Cost: $25 for a book of bingo cards (raffle tickets, Camp Sunflower swag, and bingo daubers also available!)

Details: Seats are limited, and they go fast! Reserve your spot by calling Rhonda's Place at (316) 669-1942. Cash or cards accepted for Bingo cards and drinks. Bring cash for swag and raffle tickets.

2026 Summer Camp

July 6-11, 2026

Who: LGBTQ+ Youth entering 7th-12th grades, and 18-21 year olds interested in the Counselor-in-Training Program

Where: Private location near Wichita, KS

Cost: Sliding scale fees ($0-$750)

What: A week-long overnight summer camp focused on creating joy, having fun, and making new friends! Learn more here.
